Jeffrey Maghirang
Architectural Director
“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.”
– Leonardo da Vinci
Having a father who is an architect, Jeffrey knew at a very young age he wanted to follow in his footsteps. He learned the building process from design to construction during the renovation and addition of two of his family homes. He was amazed how his father would come up with ideas, intricately draw them on paper, and bring them to life in habitable spaces.
Jeffrey earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor of Architecture from Tulane University. With architectural experience on a wide range of project types including residential, healthcare, corporate, government, and education he brings extensive building and construction knowledge to the Studio. In 25 years of experience, he is known to pay close attention to details and making sure everything comes together at the end whether the project is a small residential house in a historic part of town or a large hospital addition in another part of the world. He has more than seven years’ hospitality experience in limited service and custom large scale hotels both domestic and international.
As Architectural Director, Jeffrey leads the drawing development and construction documentation efforts in the Studio by establishing and teaching drawing and building standards used by the industry. He works with the leadership team to bring continuity and professionalism to the drawing documentation portion of each project, emphasizing the importance of thorough documentation upfront to reduce construction administration efforts at the back end of a project.
Outside of the office, Jeffrey enjoys spending time with family, learning new things, and traveling to see architecture in other parts of the world.
